President's Message
Mr. Harold Hamilton
Chapter President
100 Black Men of North Metro, Inc.
Every year we set aside this time to reflect on our organization,
showcase our youth and recognize community leaders who are making a
difference.
As the eighth President of North Metro, it
is with pleasure that I report we are flourishing stable and executing
on our mission "to improve the quality of life in our community,
and enhance educational and economic opportunities for African-American."
We support Cobb, North Fulton and Gwinnett Counties. We have
over 400 youth in our mentoring and education programs and we support
activities at three elementary and two high schools. Our members
are excited, energized and have demonstrated a strong commitment to
service.
Our theme this year is 'Education on the Frontline: Returning to the
Foundation of Our Past". Across the country, chapters are
re-focusing their effort on education as the foundation for success.
As we endure the challenges of the economy, we must embrace the importance of education for our mentees. As future leaders of
this country, they must be knowledgeable regarding the seriousness of
this situation and educated enough to understand the implications of
decisions that affect millions. There are still many more
challenges to come from an economic perspective. The members of
the 100 Black Men of North Metro are planting our feet and preparing
to continue to serve our communities as intended. Our mentees
still depend on all of us to help them succeed.
I congratulate and thank North Metro's sponsors, partners, members,
and supporters. I cherish your friendship and the shared vision
we have to improve the lives of others. Without your time,
financial support, and in-kind donations, we would not be able to
carry out our programs. On behalf of all of the youth we
support, I say "THANK YOU".
